What can fans expect in season three?

Between the series Instagram account and Netflix’s season synopsis, family will be playing a major factor as Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri all go into hiding.

The synopsis reads: “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it.”

“Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.”

Ciri’s father, Emhyr var Emreis otherwise known as Duny (Bart Edwards) who was believed to be dead made an appearance in the season two finale as none other than villain, The White Flame. The new season will pick up after this shocking reveal and fans hope more of his storyline will be shown in the official trailer.

However, the most crucial part of the storyline is yet to be seen… how will Netflix make the transition from Henry to Liam? Only time will tell how this plays out, but there is a lot riding on this plot point.

The future of The Witcher

Season three of The Witcher hasn’t landed quite yet, and fans have been in a panic over the series future. But now casting director, Sophie Holland has somewhat confirmed a season five.

“We’re just about to start filming on season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short gap, then we go straight into season five,” she said while speaking to Deadline.

However, how Liam Hemsworth will carry on The Witcher storyline remains under lock and key.
