The Bachelor Australia season eight bachelor and winner, Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska have announced the arrival of their first child together.
Ava Aleksandra Gilbert was born on 23rd February 2024 and is the perfect addition to the Gilbert family!
The couple announced Ava’s arrival via Instagram, with some adorable photos of the new family of three.
Fellow Bachelor alumni took to the comment section to congratulate Locky & Irena, with Alex Nation, Georgia Love and Alisha Aitken-Radburn among many who sent their well wishes.
The lovebirds first took to Instagram in September 2023 to share the news that they were expecting, posting a heart-warming video of them cradling Irena’s growing baby bump.
“2023 has been a year of surprises, and now Locky and I are thrilled to share the biggest surprise of our lives—anticipating a new member in our family,” Irena captioned the video (below).

Irena and Locky are one of many The Bachelor success stories, having fallen in love on the show in 2020.
The couple have shared many milestones together including travelling Australia, moving to Locky’s hometown of Perth, getting engaged, adding a puppy to their family, getting married, and now welcoming their own bundle of joy.
After over two years together, Locky got down on one knee and proposed to Irena in June 2022 at MacKenzie Falls in Victoria.
“Mrs Gilbert has a nice ring to it 💍,” the couple captioned their announcement photo on Instagram at the time.”
The couple were then married in March 2023 – a day dubbed by both of them as “the happiest day of our lives ❤️.”
